Purpose

The installation of 44 (semi-)automatic liquid barriers

Problem-solution

• All outer gates and mutual warehouse gates received liquid barriers 350 mm high. This created an independent containment in 3 warehouses. On the one hand with permanent wall partitions to seal the wall connections, on the other hand with waterproof areas to store the batteries.

• CGK Group installed barriers type T/AB LRA in U-shape, developed for loading docks. This type T/AB LRA is pneumatically controlled thanks to compressors. The other sectional gates received vertically hinged, semi-automatic barriers type T/AB VD-MR. Automatically closing barriers, but still open manually.

• The customer wanted automatic, simultaneous barrier closure for each warehouse: CGK Group installed emergency stop switches in each warehouse. Yet each barrier can be individually linked to the switch box, via a key. So that all barriers close simultaneously as well as individually. 4 weeks after installation, all barriers underwent a successful liquid tightness test.
