Storage tank upgrade with tank change (Balta Group)

Purpose
Upgrading a storage tank to its new purpose.
Problem-solution
Problem
In 2007, CGK Group delivered a VLAREM storage tank, but it was later filled with another product. In addition, a relocation was necessary.
Solution
- A thorough tank inspection resulted in a tank change: the tank is recalculated according to the standards and VLAREM provisions. The pre-commissioning inspection was followed by a final approval by an approved body.
- Because the tank had to move, a new filling line proved necessary. The fill tank ended up in a free-standing ground-mounted filler box, due to limited mounting options. The fill tank contained a 150-liter leak tank to literally catch problems.
- The cabinet has a hatch where PPE is stored. During the filling process, the cabinet door can be closed to protect operators from coupling. Finally, CGK Group installed a VLAREM identification plate at the filling point.
