Mobile Water Filtration System (WPC De Blankaart - De Watergroep)

The customer
At Water Production Center De Blankaart (Woumen-Diksmuide), De Watergroep produces drinking water from surface water sourced from the IJzer River and the Blankaart polder area. The water is treated in the reservoir until it meets drinking water standards.
Purpose
De Watergroep is currently undergoing a complete renewal of the water treatment system and reservoir at WPC De Blankaart.
For the contractor Waterleau, we supplied the necessary components for the construction of a mobile filtration system.
Problem-solution
At WPC De Blankaart, Waterleau installed a 12-meter-long mobile container (12 m (L) x 2.4 m (W) x 2.9 m (H)), divided into two sections:
- Dosing Section
- Treatment Section
Due to the limited space inside the container, fitting all components efficiently was a challenge. To avoid surprises, we created a detailed 3D design in advance, ensuring that everything fit perfectly from the start.
CGK Group’s Contribution: Key Components for the Dosing Section
- 5 pump cabinets for pumping chemical liquids
- 5 double-walled dosing tanks for accurate liquid dosing
- One tank equipped with a vapor lock to prevent odor issues
- CIP (Clean-in-Place) tank, allowing for automatic cleaning without disassembling any parts
- An emergency eye wash station, ensuring safety in case of chemical exposure
Using a drum pump, chemicals from each IBC are transferred to storage tanks. These chemicals are then processed in the treatment section of the container.
