The customer

Antwerp's Induss treats industrial wastewater for reuse. Belgium includes 6 water plants, 1 of which supplies steam directly.

Purpose

Increase short-term capacity from 2 production lines to 3.

Problem-solution

  • Such a production line means a lot of piping. CGK Group installed stainless steel pipes in various sizes, up to diameter DN400. Including flow meters and valves, but sometimes also with supporting pipe racks. A pack of outside pipes received specific insulation and tracing. A thorough 3D design guaranteed smooth installation.
  • CGK Group manufactured and installed 2 double-walled storage tanks of 50 and 100 m³ according to the VLAREM II standard. Because the demineralized water production needs both HCI and NaOH to regenerate the filters. A constantly active scrubber in the HCI tank completed the job.
  • The engineers also took a close look at the pumping technology of the existing production lines. Result? A safer solution for the third line: pump, flow meter and valves ended up in a plastic pump cabinet. CGK Group also built a degassing tower in the process, with custom control.
