FUJIFILM Belgium NV manufactures and distributes high-quality chemicals sold to photographic, graphic system and medical industries worldwide.
Purpose
Expansion of the office, lab and warehouse at their Zwijndrecht facility.
Problem-solution
Our plastics team in Antwerp was responsible for the prefabrication, delivery and installation of 115 metres of double-walled sewer pipes under the floor slab of FUJIFILM's new warehouse.
As the PE100 tubes have an exceptionally large diameter (inside ø 200- outside ø 315) and are thus not available as standard, they were made from scratch in the workshop. At the shipyard, on a drizzly spring day, they were simultaneously welded together by our fitters Gunther and Arthur using a mirror welding technique. The harsh weather conditions did not make the job any easier, but they did it!
