When at rest, this semi-automatic spill barrier is located vertically next to the doorway and is held in its perpendicular position by an electromagnet.

Upon activation of the fire alarm control unit, liquid sensor (optional), power failure or by simply manually pressing the control button (emergency button), the barrier closes slowly. When the barrier is in horizontal position, a tensioner at the bottom automatically locks the barrier and presses it liquid-tight.

Unlocking the tensioner and returning the barrier to its vertical resting position is done manually.
