How it works

Closed spill barrier at Schenker

Two spill barriers at rest at Schenker
Two spill barriers at rest at Schenker

When at rest, this fully automatic barrier is located vertically next to the doorway and is held in its perpendicular position by a pneumatic cylinder.

When switching on the fire alarm control unit, liquid sensor (optional), power failure or by simply manually pressing the control button (emergency button), the barrier closes slowly. When the barrier is in horizontal position, a pneumatic tensioner automatically locks the barrier at the bottom and presses it liquid-tight.

Unlocking the tensioner and returning the barrier to its vertical rest position is also done automatically by the pneumatic cylinder.

Standard dimensions

  • barrier height*: 10 to 100 cm
