Manual vertical lift containment barrier - TYPE T MB VF
The manual vertical pivot containment barrier is designed to capture and retain contaminated firewater and chemical spillages at doorways and gate openings. It opens and closes manually, making it suitable for industrial sites where no electricity or compressed air is available, or where the doorway is used less frequently.
How the manual vertical lift barrier works
At rest, this manual containment barrier is positioned above the door or gate opening. It is operated manually using a chain and moves vertically in two U-shaped guides on either side of the passageway. A counterweight balances the weight of the barrier.
When the barrier is in the horizontal closed position, it is locked with two quick-release fasteners and compressed to form a liquid-tight seal.
Unlocking the tensioners and returning the barriers to their rest position is also carried out manually.
