Semi-automatic double vertical pivot containment barrier - TYPE T AB BVD MR 

The semi-automatic double vertical pivot containment barrier is designed to capture and retain contaminated firewater and chemical spillages at doorways and gate openings. It closes automatically on receipt of a signal or by pressing a control button (emergency button). Opening the barrier afterwards is done manually.

At rest, the two semi-automatic vertical pivot containment barrier sections are positioned vertically on either side of the doorway and held upright by electromagnets.

Upon switching on the fire alarm control unit, liquid sensor (optional), power failure or by simply manually pressing the control button (emergency button), both barriers close slowly. When the barriers are in horizontal position, a tensioner at the bottom automatically locks the barriers and presses them liquid-tight.

Unlocking the tensioners and returning the barriers to the vertical rest position is done manually.

  • barrier height*: 10 to 100 cm
  • door or gate opening: 200 to 1200 cm
  • other dimensions on request

*Height depends on is the amount of extinguishing water you need to collect.
