Fully automatic loading bay containment barrier - TYPE T AB LRA
The fully automatic loading bay containment barrier is designed to capture and retain contaminated firewater and chemical spillages at doorways and gate openings. It opens and closes automatically using compressed air, making it suitable for industrial sites where fast and reliable containment is required.
How the fully automatic loading bay barrier works
This fully automatic containment barrier is constructed as a U-shape, making it ideal for use at unloading docks. The barrier is located in resting form next to and above the gate opening. The barrier body is held in a vertical position with two pneumatic cylinders.
Upon activation of the fire alarm control unit, liquid sensor (optional), power failure or by pressing a control button (emergency button), the barrier closes slowly. When the barrier is in a horizontal position, it is automatically locked by two pneumatic quick-release fasteners at the bottom and pressed liquid-tight.
Unlocking the pneumatic quick release and returning the containment barrier to its vertical position is done pneumatically.
