The customer

With over 8,500 realizations in Belgium and Luxembourg, Willy Naessens Industriebouw is the market leader for building industrial buildings.

Purpose

On site, the crews of Willy Naessens Industriebouw use gasoline as fuel for their power generators. Transporting and pouring over that gasoline was done with standard transparent "water bottles."

This created unsafe situations:

  • In hot weather, the water bottles can inflate, creating a risk of bursting and releasing noxious fumes.
  • These containers are not suitable for pouring gasoline over, creating a very high risk of spillage.

To protect both their employees and the environment, Willy Naessens Industriebouw opted for a safe solution in the form of safety cans.

Problem-solution

CGK supplied 102 steel safety jugs with filling hose:

  • The overpressure protector automatically vents the jug between 0.2 and 0.35 bar. This prevents pressure build-up and explosion.
  • The spring-loaded, self-closing lid prevents the escape of vapors and closes automatically after filling or pouring to prevent spills.
  • The 229mm long flexible metal hose on the Type II AccuFlow™ jugs ensure trouble-free and accurate pouring.
  • The rounded handle on the jugs facilitates carrying and is ergonomic to use.

  • The safety jugs are equipped with a double, corrosion-resistant stainless steel flame guard that prevents a flame from striking inside.

  • In case of fire, the safety jugs serve as perfectly safe storage. In fact, they will systematically allow the gasoline to evaporate without the risk of explosion.
