The customer
Recycling company Geldof cleans, sifts and removes foreign material from wood waste. This creates a high-quality raw material from wood chips. G-Bloc, the new department in Bruges, then processes these back into pallet blocks.
Purpose
Insulation work for various pipe types.
Problem-solution
- How much heat may be lost? And what are the other needs? CGK Group made a thorough computer analysis, from insulation thickness to insulation type. Taking into account the fluid temperature, the ambient temperature and the temperature difference between the technical rooms and the machines. An absolute necessity, especially with steam and hot water. So that the energy barely escapes, the temperature is maintained and... the operators do not get burned.
- Insulating pipes is therefore a matter of safety, durability and cost savings. It ensures optimal heat transfer to the water. CGK Group insulated various pipes in Bruges: steam, hot water, extinguishing water but also the superheater. The extinguishing water pipes received tracing with a temperature probe on top. An extra safety guarantee, because a wood fire on the conveyor belt is immediately extinguished. And the pipe remains frost-free, even in harsh winters.
