HCl tank with scrubber (AB InBev)

The customer
AB InBev is a leading global brewer with more than 200 beer brands.
Purpose
An HCl tank with scrubber to neutralize the aggressive vapor discharge.
Problem-solution
- The scrubber is a continuous system and starts when the HCl tank is filled. At the top of the scrubber is a nozzle that atomizes water while acidic air is added at the bottom. The air cleaned by friction eventually exits the scrubber at the top.
- The water to neutralize the vapors is constantly refreshed. This eliminates the need for constant monitoring of acidity and prevents the water from freezing. The plant also received a fill and pump cabinet. The filling cabinet with automatic valves so that the scrubber's water valve opens during the filling process.
- A leak detection and VLAREM-approved overfill protection completed the circle. Whereby the filling valve automatically closes when the tank is 95% full. CGK Group provided a turnkey installation. From design and workshop preparation to the installation itself, including piping and electrical connection.
