Custom dosing tanks (Clarebout Potatoes)
The customer
Clarebout Potatoes of Heuvelland is a specialist in pre-fried, frozen potato products.
Purpose
A number of dosing tanks for a more optimal production process.
Problem-solution
- CGK Group selected the rotationally molded 310-liter Astro tanks. This small volume is ideal for high resistance to the products used (NaOH, sulfuric, sulfuric and citric acids). The tanks have VLAREM prototype approval and are economical. In short, a superior alternative to custom-welded PE tanks.
- CGK Group installed plastic piping from the external bulk storage tanks to the internal Astro dosing tanks. On each of the latter came a pump to pilot the chemicals to the consumers.
- Because the Astros are made of MDPE, CGK Group made connections for suction lines, filler flanges, etc. Furthermore, immersion pipes were installed to suck the products, in addition to contacts on the level floats. So that a transfer pump immediately refills the tank when it empties, overfill protection included.
- CGK Group placed the single-walled dosing tanks in a drip tray, to delineate any reactions between the chemicals.
