More information
  • For water-based neutralization of exhaust gases in storage tanks with filling rates up to 30m³/h. This scrubber can be used for HCl, acetic acid, ...
  • Round tank, flat bottom, closed design and conical roof.
  • Calculated for continuous operation.

Connections:

  1. Empty Ø32 with ball valve and flange (at the bottom of the tank). This should be done on a regular basis so that the water does not become saturated. The wastewater should be processed subsequently.
  2. Sounding glass made of transparent PVC.
  3. Overflow pipe Ø32 on the same connection as the outlet. This must always be free and may not be closed with a blind flange.
  4. Water filling pipe Ø25 with loose flange
  5. Pipe Ø110 with flange, immersion pipe and an air distribution plate to distribute the air over the entire surface of the scrubber (supply of exhaust gases from the storage tanks). The immersed pipe is provided with holes to allow the air to escape through the water.
  6. Ø110 vent cap (exit of gases).
  7. PVC ball check valve Ø50 for ventilating the tank. If the tank is emptied by normal use, air should enter the tank to avoid negative pressure. This can be done through the check valve so that fresh ambient air enters the tank.
  8. Rotary cap for internal control of the washer.
  9. ID plate, 2x lifting eyes and anchor holes for M10 fasteners in the bottom plate

Description

A passive gas scrubber is a compact and simple solution for limited or temporary vapor flows, such as during the venting of smaller storage tanks. The positive pressure in the tank forces the vapors through water or a suitable scrubbing fluid, which absorbs the contaminants. Since no pump or complex control system is required, the system requires only minimal maintenance.

The gas scrubber can be integrated with:

  • the tank venting system
  • a vapor return line
  • the filling line or filling cabinet
  • low- and high-pressure safety devices
  • level measurement
  • automatic supply of washing fluid
  • a signal from the filling or unloading process
