Manual vertical pivot containment barrier - TYPE T MB VD
The manual vertical pivot containment barrier is designed to capture and retain contaminated firewater and chemical spillages at doorways and gate openings. It opens and closes manually, making it suitable for industrial sites where no electricity or compressed air is available, or where the doorway is used less frequently.
How this manual vertical pivot barrier works
This manual containment barrier consists on one side of a barrier resting on a pedestal. On the other side of the door or gate opening is a U-profile with tensioner.
The containment barrier is equipped with a hinge that allows it to be manually placed in both vertical and horizontal positions. In horizontal position, it is secured with a tensioner located on the receiver side.
Unlocking the tensioner and resetting the containment barrier is also done manually. The barrier is held in a vertical position by a locking mechanism.
