Fully automatic vertical pivot containment barrier - TYPE T AB VD
The fully automatic vertical pivot containment barrier is designed to capture and retain contaminated firewater and chemical spillages at doorways and gate openings. It opens and closes automatically using compressed air, making it suitable for industrial sites where fast and reliable containment is required.
How the fully automatic vertical pivot barrier works
At rest, this fully automatic containment barrier is positioned vertically next to the doorway and and held upright by a pneumatic cylinder.
When switching on the fire alarm control unit, liquid sensor (optional), power failure or by simply manually pressing the control button (emergency button), the barrier closes slowly. When the barrier is in horizontal position, a pneumatic tensioner automatically locks the barrier at the bottom and presses it liquid-tight.
Unlocking the tensioner and returning the barrier to its vertical rest position is also done automatically by the pneumatic cylinder.
