Fully automatic vertical lift containment barrier - TYPE T AB VF (guillotine)

The fully automatic vertical lift containment barrier is designed to capture and retain contaminated firewater and chemical spillages at doorways and gate openings. It opens and closes automatically using compressed air, making it suitable for industrial sites where fast and reliable containment is required.

How the fully automatic vertical lift barrier works

At rest, this fully automatic containment barrier is positioned above the door or gate opening and held in its raised position by pneumatic cylinders.

When switching on the fire alarm control unit, liquid sensor (optional), power failure or by simply manually pressing the control button (emergency button), the barrier closes slowly. AWhen the barrier is in active position, it is automatically locked by two pneumatic quick release clamps at the bottom and pressed in liquid-tight.

Unlocking the pneumatic quick release and returning the barrier to above the door or gate at rest position is done pneumatically..

Standard dimensions

• barrier height*: 10 to 100 cm
• door or gate opening: 50 to 600 cm
• other dimensions on request

*Height depends on the amount of extinguishing water you need to collect.
