Fully automatic double vertical pivot containment barrier - TYPE T AB BVD
The fully automatic double vertical pivot containment barrier is designed to capture and retain contaminated firewater and chemical spillages at doorways and gate openings. It opens and closes automatically using compressed air, making it suitable for industrial sites where fast and reliable containment is required.
How the fully automatic double vertical pivot barrier works
At rest, the two fully automatic containment barrier sections are positioned vertically on either side of the doorway and held in their upright position by pneumatic cylinders.
On switching on the fire alarm control unit, liquid sensor (optional), power failure or by simply manually pressing the operating button (emergency button), both barriers close slowly. When the barriers are in horizontal position, they are automatically locked at the bottom by pneumatic tensioners and pressed liquid-tight.
Unlocking the pneumatic tensioners and returning the barriers to the vertical rest position is also done automatically by the pneumatic cylinders.
